As part of our regional Youth Leadership programme and the global Alumni UK programme, British Council are offering young people in Europe and European alumni of UK higher education institutions the digital course on Leadership for Gender Equality.

The course prepares young people to make a difference to gender equality issues through building their leadership capabilities and supporting them to implement activities in their communities. It has been co-designed by Clore Social Leadership and the British Council, and provides self-access materials (including readings, videos, podcasts and articles) and opportunities for participants to reflect on their leadership journey and connect with other young leaders who share similar interests. This is an opportunity to join a network of more than 80 individuals, who are champions of gender equality. Previous participants have benefitted from networking opportunities and micro-grants to implement community projects on gender equality.

This will be a five week online, self-access leadership course, through which participants develop their leadership capacity, skills and ability to become more effective in leading interventions to support gender equality and women’s leadership within their sector and/or community.
