UUKI Delegation Visit
We are partnering with Universities UK International (UUKI) to support an inward delegation of 10-15 representatives from UK universities to Ireland on 26th March 2025 to meet with Irish research counterparts and engage with key research-focused stakeholders.
The Wellcome Trust have supported UUKI to engage with 6 EU countries on a number of UK university delegation visits in order to raise awareness of the UK re-joining the Horizon Europe programme. Countries in focus are France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway and Poland. British Council Ireland are delighted to be working with UUKI, the British Embassy in Dublin and the British Irish Chamber of Commerce in organising the UUKI delegation visit to Ireland.
The aim of the delegation is to:
- Represent sector voice by meeting counterparts and government representatives.
- Showcase existing relationships funded through the EU Framework Programmes (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe).
- Discuss opportunities for increasing future R&I collaboration in Horizon Europe.
Delegation Schedule, 26th March 2025
- 11-4pm: hosted by University College College Dublin, with presentations from the British Council, the British Irish Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Ireland, Research Ireland, UCD and UUKI, followed by a roundtable discussion on future UK Ireland collaborations.
- 6-8pm: UK Ireland Alumni Reception co-hosted by British Council Ireland and the British Embassy in Dublin.
