Sustainability Through Festivals: A Collective Approach

We are partnering with Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) as part of their 2025 programme on a special panel discussion focusing on how festivals can act as catalysts for improving sustainable practices taking place in The Complex, Dublin on February 26th 18:00-19:00.

Join Megan Best from Native Events and Julie's Bicycle Europe for an insightful panel on how festivals can drive sustainable practices by uniting venues to enhance sustainable production and operations.

This session will delve into the role of festival networks and collectives in supporting sustainability efforts, offering practical strategies for the live event and festival industries.

DIFF are dedicated to fostering sustainable practices not only during the festival but year-round across their partner venues. They invite fellow festival and live event organizers to engage in this vital conversation and explore new opportunities to contribute to the sustainability movement.

See DIFF's website for more information and to book tickets.

At British Council Ireland, this partnership is in keeping with our commitment to exploring the connection between sustainablility and arts and culture. To find out more, check out our Sustainability in the Performing Arts panel discussion and our Creative Postcards project.
