Beyond Influence Marko Milovanovic
British Council's Architecture, Design and Fashion team are supporting British architect, artist and journalist Marko Milovanovic's project "Beyond Influence", a three-channel video installation and feature documentary on the legacy of Irish architect Shane de Blacam. This conversational piece examines influence across generations and cultures, focusing on de Blacam’s work and his connections to his mentor Louis Kahn and his students, now prominent Irish and British architects. This project aims to highlight cross-cultural connections in architectural practice.
Architecture on the Edge Festival 2024
At the 2024 Architecture on the Edge Festival in Galway, Marko hosted a round-table as part of a Shane de Blacam lecture. Marko will return to Galway in 2025 to present his film on de Blacam as part of a showcasing grant from British Council. Marko Milovanovic will then return to Galway in 2025 to present his film on de Blacam (dates tbc).
